Description

The A.R.I. D-070 Q Combination Dynamic Air and Pressure Relief Valve combines two components in a single product to provide maximum line protection. The Pressure Relief component is designed to quickly release excessive line pressure while maintaining safe and gradual closure. When the pressure rises above the set point, water is released from the Pressure Relief Valve. The Combination Air Valve component prevents up-surges by discharging air from pressurized water lines in a controlled and gradual manner. When a vacuum occurs, the valve intakes air into the system, reducing impending down-surges to a safe level. These two components, working together, protect the pipeline from excessive pressure, eliminating bursts and water loss.

Product Features

  • A unique valve, operating without a float and utilizing the rolling diaphragm principle.
  • Valve discharges air from the water system in a controlled and gradual manner, thus preventing slam and local up-surges.
  • Normally closed air & vacuum orifice prevents the intrusion of debris and contaminants into the system.
  • Pilot operated valve, constantly senses the upstream pressure and also operates as a two-stage pressure relief valve
  • Smooth and gradual closing unaffected by water flow.
  • Available in sizes: 2”-4” reinforced nylon, 3” metal valve, with flanged ends to meet any requested standard.
  • Materials and Corrosion Protection
  • Body and cover made of Ductile Iron ASTM A-536 60-40-18.
  • Internal components are corrosion-resistant.
  • The pilot is made of stainless steel 316
  • Valve coating: fusion bonded epoxy coating according to standard DIN 30677-2.
  • Other coatings are available upon request.

Application Range

  • Working pressure range: 0.2-16 bar.
  • Maximum operating temperature: 60°C.
  • Maximum intermittent temperature: 90° C.
  • For pump stations, deep wells and distribution lines, Downstream and upstream of shut-off valves, systems prone to slam and local and system surges, End of a supply line, on top of pressure vessels, downstream of pressure-reducing valve
